Shoreline Advisor Program - Summer 2008

Need help with your shoreline, have erosion problems, not sure about the best type of dock, what to do or perhaps how best to start?  Have septic issues or runoff problems?

We  can help.  We have partnered with the Lakeland Alliance to provide assistance to property owners by providing them with a qualified advisor who can help with shoreline issues/questions.

The program is voluntary, non-regulatory and there is no cost or obligation to you.

This  is an education and awareness program for shoreline property owners that teaches people how to protect shorelines and water quality.  It addresses concerns about t individual properties with practical knowledge that leads to a healthier lake ecosystem.

How it works:

A qualified advisor will work with the property owner to answer questions and provide helpful suggestions on how to reduce the footprint on the lake.  The advisor will cover these main topics:

  • Natural Shorelines
  • Septic Systems
  • Pollution Prevention
  • Invasive Species
  • Enhancing Habitat

You will receive resource documents about the above topics for future reference, and local information about products and services to help you take action on any of the recommendations provided by the advisor.

There is limited availability and visits are booked on a first come-first served basis.  So sign up now!

To participate, fill out the below fields and hit submit.  You will be contacted shortly by the shoreline advisor to set up a date and time for the visit.
